GLORY acquires New Zealand based Advanced Transaction Systems Ltd.
GLORY LTD. (GLORY) (Tokyo: 6457) has acquired Advanced Transaction Systems, (ATS), New Zealand's largest provider of cash handling solutions to both the retail and banking industries, through its overseas subsidiary, Glory Global Solutions (Australia) Pty. Ltd.
1. Purpose of the acquisition
GLORY's strategy to achieve its "2017 Medium-Term Management Plan" and "Long-Range Vision 2018" has seen the refocus of management resources to its international and overseas business. Based on this strategy, GLORY acquired Talaris Topco Limited (now known as Glory Global Solutions) in 2012, a U.K. based leader in the field of manufacturing, sales and service of currency handling solutions worldwide. The acquisition of ATS, a New Zealand based Sales and Service Company, is also in line with GLORY's strategy of expanding its overseas business through providing sales and maintenance services directly to customers. By combining ATS, which has an extensive customer base in the retail industry, with our existing New Zealand sales and service operations, predominantly focused on the banking industry, as well as working with the strong Glory Global Solutions business in Australia, the acquisition will allow us to support our customers on both sides of the Tasman even more strongly than before.
