Glory’s career development pathway is both structured and meaningful. Every week my manager and I discuss my current role: both the challenges and opportunities. Here, the focus is on the many opportunities ahead, so the conversation feels very different to an annual review. It ensures development of my skills and role is something that is considered and revisited throughout the year.

Additionally, development is considered at performance reviews and rewarded accordingly. It’s great that you don’t have to move role to be able to develop and receive recognition.

My keenness to expand, and my manager’s support, has seen me help implement the applicant tracking system project. This has been a terrific fit for my new project management skills. With help from the Learning Team and via LinkedIn Learning resources, I have also embarked on a learning and skills enhancement journey – another real boost to my personal and professional development.

A caring culture that values people

From day one, it’s been a friendly and welcoming culture. Managers are caring, approachable and supportive, with employee contentment and wellbeing front of mind. This holistic approach to workplace happiness ensures a two-way flow of loyalty and respect.

I have worked with so many bright and talented people worldwide and it’s been such a positive and rich experience. Crucially, diversity is celebrated at Glory and colleagues of different origins and cultures are valued and made to feel heard.

Team spirit is strong within Glory, helped along by a varied social calendar, including charity initiatives. This encourages both personal and professional cohesion even further.
