In 2013 I joined Glory as a Senior Field Service Engineer and my role and responsibilities have changed many times since then. When I began, the engineering team was newly established and I quickly gained various additional responsibilities. These included recruiting a field support team, providing support with pre-sales and sales activities (including product demonstrations for potential new customers), channel partner support as well as provision of technical support for existing installations throughout India.


The India management team saw me as an asset and I was rewarded with promotion. Now, in my current role as a Product Manager, my working pattern has evolved. Instead of being mostly out in the field, my new hybrid role sees me also spend time in Glory’s offices. There, I am developing strategies and carrying out analysis based on my previous experience.


My career development has been greatly helped by the vast experience of the India team. On many occasions the leadership here has provided me with crucial support and advice, essential in a fast-paced, constantly changing technological world. This has undoubtedly helped me in my career development at Glory. With the constant demand for technological solutions to change and grow, support from such an experienced team has been invaluable.


I have received training on every product we have in India and I have become a trainer to other engineers. Brainstorming sessions with fellow field engineers have helped deepen my product knowledge. It’s also a good opportunity to keep up to speed with product development - with such rapid developments, this is crucial. I’ve also played an active part in meetings which has improved my public speaking and presentation skills.
 

Glory’s leadership has a clear vision for the future and, as part of the transformation towards a society with less cash, it has invested in solutions that ensure we’re at the forefront of these rapid changes. Meeting the technological needs of an ever changing world is challenging, but with a combined vision, constant team and management support and a fusion of skills, Glory rises to it. The combination of our legacy DTP products, plus cash and non-cash products ensures our future success - for Glory and for our customers - as the world continues to evolve.
